The beauty of sharing knowledge. And why we all should stay curious.

Podcast Header with portraits of Natalie and Pavel who talk about teaching

Natalie Korotaeva and Pavel Mocan joined the podcast to talk about teaching. Tune in to hear about their experiences, both within and outside of George Labs: their best moments, challenges and what they would love to learn themselves.

If you want to master something, teach it. Natalie and Pavel share this belief as well as their passion for passing on their expertise. Both say that their teaching experiences has made them grow, professionally as well as personally. Their lessons embrace everyone, regardless of prior knowledge or lack thereof. What is important to them is sharing their knowledge – and learning themselves while doing so.

“Whenever you explain something to other people, you become much better at that subject. (…) During my time at George Labs I’ve learned so much from all the smart people that are working here. It just felt great to contribute back and to see people’s progess.”

The lessons of Natalie and Pavel bring valuable insights and hard facts to their students. Both, however, go beyond that. They also pass on strategies, soft skills, and universal competences. To Natalie, it is a matter of the heart to encourage women to start their carreer in the tech industrie. She is convinced that this branch is suitable for anyone as long as they are interested in in.

“For me it was a big inspiration to see all this wonderful women who want to change their carrers and their lifes for better. I try to support them in their choices and tell them: If I can do it, you can do it.”

Maybe this podcast inspires you to either pick up teaching yourself or turn your curiosity about a subject into actually taking lessons on it. In any case, listen to the podcast for stories of inspiration, highlights, and valuable tips.
